The dictionary meaning of stress is “pressure or tension exerted on a material object” or “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances”. Stress is a disturbance in equilibrium experienced by mental and/or physical body due to the pressure or tension resulting from difficult or challenging circumstances.
